Android A1 update, downloaded update to 2.2

I have downloaded the update for the Androis to update to 2.2. The file is on the SD chip as update.exe. Started the Android with new update, cannot find the update.exe in root directory. How do I create the "ROOT directory"? The update is on the chip! as update.exe.

The file should be update.zip, NOT update.exe. Just put the update.zip into the sdcard.

"ROOT directory" just means the root of the directory. In other words, c:\ is the root of your SD card if your SD card is located on c: drive.

If you still see the file as update.exe, please provide the url you are using. I am 100% certain that the URL I provided will download a update.zip file.

If you still have problems, drop me a message with your phone number on http://www.portable.geek.nz/contact

So that I can call u and try to help. The only thing I can see if you simply aren't following the instructions we have provided.

I have told you too many times that update.exe is simply NOT correct. How do you expect the phone to find update.zip if you give it update.exe?

I have two SD chips - formatted with the phone and downloaded update.zip
started the phone as per instruction and use command to use "update.zip"
Message :cannot find e: no such file or director
I checked both chips - both have update.zip on it!
tried 7 times now - always the same !!

Where did you put the file? I don't understand what you did exactly, so I can't see what went wrong.

Thank you for ignoring it!
The chinese website is of no help either. I have bought aphone with already outdated software - thank you. 5 different downlaods with update.exe on the card are not recognized by the phone. I would have gladly paid if you had downloaded it on a SD chip for me.
Not providing a e-mail adress on your website for fear of spam forces me then to say it here:

DO NOT BUY HERE!
WWW.ALIEXPRESS.COM is tellingwhat they sell.
Do not contact me again!
Good by -bad buy!

I didn't get any notifications of your last message. Otherwise, I would have answered it. I only see the notification of this message you just asked.

I already told you many times the file is update.zip, if you see update.exe, it is already incorrect!!!

I thought I already answered your questions via e-mail directly?

You can leave message on via our online form and I will certainly reply you. I can't put e-mail address here because of the spam bots. Try putting your e-mail on a high traffic web site and see how many spam e-mails u will receive. If I get a lot of spam e-mails, it will certainly means I will delete genuine e-mails by mistake or genuine e-mails get filtered out by spam filter!!!

I have no idea why you are so unhappy when I was providing showing good will by telling you that the Android phone you purchased can be upgraded to newer firmware. I could have easily choose not to tell you and then you won't be complaining that you don't know how to upgrade it.
